Clindamycin phosphate is a lincosamide antibiotic. Although clindamycin phosphate is inactive in vitro, rapid in vivo hydrolysis converts this compound to the antibacterially active clindamycin. Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms.

Cleanse skin with mild soap. Dry area thoroughly. Massage gel gently until absorbed. Wash hands after application. Avoid eyes and mucosal membranes.
Patients with history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, or history of regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis.

Damclid Gel is a topical antibiotic used to treat inflammatory acne vulgaris by eliminating acne-causing bacteria and reducing red, painful pimples and breakouts.
Wash the affected skin thoroughly with a mild cleanser, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of gel twice daily (morning and night) as directed by your dermatologist.
Do not use Damclid Gel if you are allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin, or if you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease or colitis.
